Tornado Watch canceled after day of severe weather in NE Florida, SE Georgia

Afternoon storms, then lighter rain showers stay for the night

Tornado Watches and Warnings issued Wednesday by the National Weather Service have expired for counties in Northeast Florida and Southeast Georgia.

Heavy rain was brief, but the local flooding potential increases Thursday where over an inch to two inches is likely. The rain Thursday will start in the morning and last all day.

So, expect to see cooler and cloudy conditions Thursday with highs in the upper 60s. The rain will taper off Thursday evening but the clouds stick around all night.

Sunshine returns Friday with temps in the 70s. The weekend will be mild in the mid 70s but cool in mid-40s to lower 50s in the morning.
