Temps reached the low to mid 90s this afternoon with the sunnier start but now clouds are filling in and storms are getting severe.

Other storms will fill in through the afternoon with a 60% chance of rain back into the metro and coastal areas into the early evening.

Some storms could bring high wind bursts, frequent lightning strikes, and locally heavy downpours around I-10 and I-95 corridors.

Rain may end early this evening but start earlier Thursday with morning showers in Georgia and inland areas of north Florida. Storms will then focus near the St. Johns River basin in the afternoon and evening with less coverage along the beaches.

Onshore.SSE steering flow by Friday will bring better rain chances inland with the heavier storms mostly targeting around and north of I-10.
