Wild weekend weather: Wet, then stormy, then chilly & windy!

Grab your umbrella and stay alert to rapid changes in weather conditions.

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Almost a spring-like storm system will tap just enough cold air to produce a wild range of weather for Jacksonville.

  • Saturday is a busy weather day, morning rains/showers will be followed by a “pause” through the early afternoon hours.
  • Saturday afternoon - SEVERE STORMS? Mainly south of I-10, but a few could roll up along I-95 into Georgia.
  • Rainfall totals should exceed 2″ in many places, yet south of town, the amounts will be more scattered.
  • Sunday winds crank up, as skies clear, temperatures fail to warm. Highs only in the low 60s! Winds to 40 mph!
  • Carolina Mountain Snows!

Lesser amounts south are more likely due to the scattered severe/heavy storms expected there.
Severe storms (squall line) with intense rainfall and possible tornadoes.
Maybe into North Georgia too!
