Showers and storms Wednesday into evening

But the 90° heat is on its way out

. (.)

This will be the last hot day until Mother’s Day as highs ease up after a cold front passes tonight.

Scattered storms are developing over inland NE FL focusing in Clay County and will move slowly south primarily west of the St. Johns River.  The most likely areas for rain targets US 301 to I-75 corridor.

Interior storms will fade out after 8 pm with a mostly cloudy evening with lows in the 60s and 70s.

Few ous the metro areas will see rain Thursday as most of the scattered showers and storms that form will be well inland across the I-75 corridor tomorrow afternoon and evening.

Even less rain is expected Friday as the east breeze brings in dry air that shuts off the rain potential through the weekend.

Temperatures will dip nicely into the low 80s along the coast to mid 80s in town.
