Hot and dry Sunday

Tropical Depression set to become a Gulf hurricane

.

We are watching the tropical system over Cozumel which is expected to bring rain to our area Tuesday afternoon and most of the day Wednesday. Today stays hot and dry with temps in the low to mid 90s. East breezes keep a moderate risk for beach rip currents.

Monday sees typical afternoon scattered showers pushing inland through the afternoon but outer rain bands may show up across north Florida Tuesday afternoon from what will likely be Hurricane Idalia in the eastern Gulf of Mexico. As the system moves into the Florida Big Bend it increases local rain Wednesday.

Much will change with the forecast so keep abreast of the latest forecast early this week.
