Sunnier day with steamy heat

Weather gets back to normal after Hurricane Idalia

.

The day starts dry with showers and thunderstorms developing this afternoon and evening primarily south of I-10. Rain chance is 30% with some soakers into the evening. Drier air over Georgia will limit rain chances north of Jacksonville. Highs reach the low 90s with evening temps backing down into the 80s.

The pattern changes for the better after Friday when rain clears the forecast and temps cool into the mid 80s through the 3 day Labor Day holiday.

Onshore breeze picks up leading to rough ocean conditions this weekend.
