Finally! Sunshine returns ☀️

But a blast of cold could freeze leftover puddles

.

Finally, dry weather returns and the missing sun has been found!

Dry weather pushes in with a NW breeze at 15 mph today. Highs stay cool barely reaching 61.

Tonight a freeze watch covers Baker and Columbia counties along with inland Georgia. The next several nights stay cold in the 30s.

Tuesday’s blazing sun will do nothing to take the edge off the smashing cold. It will be the coldest afternoon since January 14 of this year reaching only 51°

Water in Black Creek is swelling at 2 feet above flood stage. The North Fork is forecast to reach moderate flooding at 18.1 feet today before dropping below stage Thursday morning. This is the highest water in the Creek since Tropical Storm Cristobal soaked the area in June of 2020.

The dry week ends with a few showers on Sunday before another rain system makes for a soggy Christmas.
