Showers and thunderstorms for the MLK Holiday

NOW: Thick clouds this morning has kept morning temperatures a bit milder than forecast, therefore frost advisories have been cancelled across NE Florida but continue in SE GA.

Temperatures this morning only dropped into the low 40s region wide with some upper 30s across SE GA with mostly cloudy skies.

TODAY: Clouds will slowly clear today leading to sunny skies and afternoon highs will reach the upper 50s to low 60s. Winds from the north between 5-10 MPH.

MONDAY: As the skies clear tomorrow morning temperatures will drop into the upper 30s to low 40s.

Scattered showers will move into the area Monday morning then more widespread showers and thunderstorms will spread across the area in the evening into Tuesday.

Severe weather is not expected at this time with these storms.

Afternoon highs will warm back up near normal in the low to mid 60s under mostly cloudy skies.

REST OF THE WEEK: After Tuesday, arctic air moves into the area where overnight lows into Wednesday will drop into the upper 20s to low 30s region wide.

Afternoon highs will reach the upper 40s to 50s. Rain chances increase once again Thursday night into Friday,
