The cold is coming. It’s a great time to check on your neighbors.

The rain is with us through early afternoon today, and much colder temperatures are on the way tomorrow. (.)

It’s great to be back with you all after a beautiful week off with my family! I love spending time at home as we are very tight-knit! It was certainly cold in the Carolinas, and being back in Florida won’t feel much different starting Wednesday.

We’ve got a cold week ahead with lows dropping into the 20s tomorrow morning. A Wind Chill Advisory and a Freeze Warning are in place through tomorrow at 9 a.m. The Wind Chill Advisory starts at 1 a.m. tonight and the Freeze Warning starts at 3 a.m.

If you’re like me, you’ll need your heaviest coat by tomorrow morning.

Keep yourself warm! Bust out the gloves and the scarves!

Another thing to keep in mind — cover your plants to avoid them freezing and dying, and bring your pets inside. They can’t handle cold temperatures at this level, and we want to keep them safe!

Lastly, check on your neighbors!

Make sure they have ways to stay warm, especially elderly neighbors. It doesn’t hurt to send them a text, or call, asking if they are doing ok! We should always look out for our community members!
