Warmer and Wetter Friday before a Weekend Freeze

Keep the extra blankets handy for you, your pets, plants and pipes as freezing temperatures return this weekend.

Cloudy skies as showers move offshore from Flager County.  Scattered showers return with the cold front Friday morning through around noon followed by another round of freezing temperatures.  Freeze Warnings and Windchill Advisories are expected.

Tonight:  Cloudy, chilly, foggy

Friday:  Near seasonal temperatures under cloudy skies with showers possible through the lunch hour.  Much colder temperatures will move in late Friday and linger through the weekend.  Morning lows in the 40s to low 50s.  Afternoon highs in the 60s to low 70s.  Rain chance, 30 percent with expected rainfall less than a quarter of an inch.

Very cold temperatures return late Friday night, through the weekend.

Hazards:  Friday Night - Monday morning:  Hard Freeze/Freeze Warnings.  Very cold windchill values.  We will still be protecting those Ps.

Looking ahead:  Warmer temperatures next week with highs approaching the 80s!
