A Warm Weather Intermission then Weekend Changes

Chilly, breezy next week

Changes coming this weekend (.)

A welcome winter intermission will be followed by a steady southwest breeze, showers with storms and then less than seasonal temperatures.   The humidity continues with patchy to areas of fog Friday morning.  Expect waves of cloudy skies as the fog lifts.  Like today, some areas could be stubborn to erode with lingering fog along our coastal zones and beaches.

The excess water in the air could also lead to a few showers and storms as models continue to hint at weak sea breeze interaction.  Isolated to scattered showers and a slight thunderstorm chance late this afternoon and evening.

Our next cold front will push through the area on Sunday with scattered showers followed by dry, cooler air behind the front.  The breeze will shift northwesterly and increase as cloud cover decreases through the day.  Temperatures on Sunday will be cooler with the high temperature of the day coming in early and then dropping behind the front. Highs still should manage to reach the 60s to low 70s as the sun returns.  Cold and breezy overnight as temperatures return to chilly seasonal averages.
