Viewers share tornado, hail, rainbow images from Sunday’s severe storms

A strong severe weather system moved through Northeast Florida on Sunday afternoon. Tornado warnings kept being extended as the storms developed and moved through.

The Jacksonville Fire Rescue Department said dozens of homes were damaged by a confirmed tornado around 6300 Peacock Ridge Road, not far from Cecil Airport.

The severe weather brought with it hail and high winds. You can see some of the images of Sunday’s storm from our viewers and from our Insiders using SnapJAX.

Several viewers also snapped photos of a brightly colored double rainbow during the severe weather.
