Severe weather possible for beginning of work week

Storms could bring strong winds, isolated tornadoes, and some heavy downpours

Sunday evening temperature will drop to the low 60s before midnight with mostly cloudy skies and light wind from the south.

Rain will begin in Southeast Georgia and then Northeast Florida on Monday.

Monday temperatures will begin in the low 60s, and upper 50s, along with cloudy skies and winds from the south. Rain could begin in the early morning hours for Southeast Georgia, while it begins in Northeast Florida in the early afternoon. Monday temperatures will peak into the upper 70s and low 80s with mostly cloudy skies. Winds will shift to the west and southwest, with increased gusts, ranging from 16 to 28 miles per hour or higher. The gusts will remain for most of Monday afternoon as storms begin through the late evening.

Scattered to severe storms are possible Monday afternoon into the evening.
