The first question on your mind may be “What exactly IS impact weather?”
Impact weather occurs when severity will likely not be an issue, but the weather itself can disrupt plans and ruin your day.
That’s exactly what this rain will do this weekend. We are NOT expecting any severe weather at this time, but the rain will likely cause some localized flooding and concerns for outdoor plans.
I know, many of you have weddings and birthday parties, even just general plans, but rain will be the name of the game this weekend. Chief Meteorologist Richard Nunn mentioned that he rarely uses the term “washout,” but we are in agreeance that it may be applicable to Saturday’s forecast.
The timeline for the rain will be after 8 p.m. tonight into Saturday morning. The rain will be heaviest Saturday afternoon into Sunday morning, and the rain will continue through Sunday night.
