Sunny and Breezy for the weekend

High Pressure makes for a weekend of sunshine, dry air

Sunshine and an uptick in winds, sums up the weekend. A wind advisory on Saturday expires at 6 PM for Brantley and Ware counties in Georgia. Breezy days will remain through the beginning of next week.

Saturday afternoon temperatures peak into the low 70s before a cool down overnight.

Saturday evening temperatures will drop into the low 50s with light winds from the northwest at 7 miles per hour and clear skies.

Sunday morning temperatures will begin in the upper 30s, and low 40s, with light winds from the north and northwest. The evening will be more breezy in Southeast Georgia with gusts near 15 miles per hour. Winds decrease Sunday morning into the single digits with clear skies.

Sunday afternoon temperatures peak into the upper 50s and low 60s with winds from the north and northeast at 5 to 7 miles per hour with clear skies.

HAZARDS: Saturday through Monday, there is an elevated risk for wildfires due to drier air and increased wind speeds.

BOATERS: A small craft advisory is in effect until 5 am Sunday, from Savannah, Georgia to Flagler Beach at 20 to 60 nautical miles from the Atlantic coast.
