Rain increases Sunday for a soggy start to the week

Rain returns late Sunday

. (.)

Outside plans? Let’s get you ready for the weekend. The models are all over the place for the weekend forecast. The models I like have been steady all week. The mention of showers and storms will be focused over southeast Georgia tonight and north of I-10 tomorrow morning. There will be a slight chance of showers south of I-10 and across northern St. Johns County on Saturday. Increasing clouds through Sunday will remind us that rain and storms are on the way. These will arrive after 7 p.m. and continue overnight through midday Monday.

Saturday: Partly cloudy to mostly cloudy with scattered showers and isolated storms, mainly north of I-10, 20-30 percent. Sunrise temperatures in the low to mid 60s. Afternoon highs in the upper 70s along our beaches, 80s inland. Wind SW 5-10 mph, with gusts up to 15 mph. UV Index: 8 (High)

Sunday: Partly cloudy skies will become cloudy with rain and thunderstorms arriving late and continuing overnight, 50-70 percent.

How about the pollen? Trees - High (Pine, Juniper, Oak) Low - Grasses - Low. Weed - High.

The first day of Spring is Tuesday. Expect a sunny, cool and breezy day.
