Brace yourselves for a day dominated by rain

Showers and soakers on the way

Expect light morning rain to cover the area as it moves up from the south. Don’t be surprised if you encounter some wet roads before seeing some coverage decrease from south to north toward mid-day.

Clouds keep temps in the upper 60s marking a cooler day compared to Thursday but the humidity levels jumped, making it feel muggy under cloudy skies. Relief comes Sunday when the moisture clears out.

Scattered spotty showers target areas mainly from Jacksonville northward.

As the day progresses, expect the southeast winds to pick up, reaching speeds of 10-15 mph with higher gusts.

Rain sticks around for everyone this evening, so keep that umbrella handy. Rain could total nearly an inch through Saturday,

A front passes on a warmer Saturday with spots of rain through the day. Highs in the upper 70s. Then comes a cold down into the mid 60s Sunday with dry air.
