Rain showers giving way to partly cloudy, warm afternoon ahead

Showers return around dinner time

Saturday highs

Southeast Georgia will see the late afternoon showers and possible thunderstorms first as the cold front pushes southeast. Temperatures will drop along with the frontal system into the lower 60 and upper 50s.

This afternoon: warming up into the high 70s with windy conditions and possible gusts of 15-20 mph.

Sunday will start off cooler, in the mid 50s, with plenty of sunshine, although windy with gusts up to 25-30 mph. Highs only reaching the mid 60s.

Looking ahead: springlike temperatures stay with us throughout the week, with only a 20% chance of rain on Wednesday. More rain moves in Wednesday night into Thursday.
