Rounds of rain, some locally heavy, will bring another Impact Day to our area on Wednesday.
Showers with isolated thunderstorms are expected with heavier, widespread rain expected late Wednesday night and Thursday.
The first round of wet weather will arrive around sunrise near and along I-75 and west of US 1 in SE GA. The leading edge of this boundary will weaken as it moves toward I-95 as better chances of storms continue west of Highway 301/US1.
The heaviest round of rain and storms will move in late Wednesday night through late morning Thursday. Skies will begin clearing before sunset on Thursday.
Scattered showers with storms will be possible west of Highway 301/US1 through the afternoon Wednesday with widespread rain chances through midday Thursday, 80-100 percent.
Rainfall amounts will be around 0.50-1.00 inch for areas south of I-10, 1.00 to 2.50 inches for areas north of I-10 and SE GA. Local flooding will be possible near the Suwannee Valley and inland SE GA with some areas receiving 2.00 - 4.00 inches.
Skies will quickly clear Thursday with sunny skies expected Good Friday through Easter Sunday.
