JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Be sure to plan accordingly for strong to isolated severe storms that will roll through our region later this morning and throughout the day. High winds, heavy rain, possibly hail, and the threat of tornadoes cannot be ruled out.
SE Georgia will see the first of the storms before they drop south into NE Florida. Temperatures will top out in the mid-80s this afternoon after tying the record high of 96 on Thursday. Once the storms clear out later this evening, temperatures will drop into the mid-to-upper 60s overnight.
Saturday will dry out and return to seasonal warm temps in the 80s. Mother’s Day will be a nice spring day to finish out our weekend before rain returns to the forecast on Monday.
