JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Warm temperatures Saturday will help fuel the low front moving our way.
Throughout the morning and early afternoon, there’s a 20% chance of rain mostly in Southeast Georgia. The bulk of shower activity will arrive after 2 p.m., with a slight risk for isolated to scattered thunderstorms as temperatures rise into the upper 80s, low 90s.
No need to cancel your outdoor plans, just be aware that high winds and rain at times will be a factor. If you hear thunder, move indoors ASAP. Heat index will be in the upper 90s: stay in the AC, drink plenty of water if spending long periods outside.
Tonight: humid, muggy with another round of stormy weather as the cold front moves through after midnight. Lows in the lower 70s, upper 60s in SE Georgia. Winds will decrease overnight, as well.
Sunday: more rain likely as the front stalls. The opportunity for scattered strong showers is possible; hazards are strong winds and small hail. Storms will subside by Sunday night. Can’t rule out heavy downpours with isolated flooding. High in the mid 80s.
Monday: a bit cooler than normal with highs sticking around the upper 70s, low 80s with gusty winds and stormy afternoon conditions.
