Severe Thunderstorm Watch Expired

Showers with storms will continue tonight, early Tuesday

Update:  10:00 p.m. The NWS has canceled the Severe Thunderstorm Watch in southeast Georgia.

Scattered showers with thunderstorms are expected tonight through Tuesday afternoon.  Isolated storms could become strong to severe.  Feels Like temperatures of around 100 degrees will continue through Tuesday.

Tonight:  Showers with strong to isolated severe storms are possible for SE GA near and along the FL/GA line.

Tuesday:  Scattered showers and thunderstorms will be possible early Tuesday morning through the afternoon, 40-50 percent.  It will be a warm start to the day with morning lows in the 70s.  Afternoon highs will reach the low to mid 90s inland with upper 80s along the beaches.  Wind SW/W 5-10 mph.

Looking ahead:  Temperatures will return to near seasonal averages Friday.  Rain chances also return Friday and continue through the weekend.
