JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Mostly sunny skies and moderate humidity will help temperature move into the 90s and possibly see some 100s inland. Saturday could be the warmest day of the year, so far. There is a slight chance of late afternoon showers in our southern counties.
With the heat index expected to be close to 104, folks with heat-related illnesses need to stay indoors with the A/C on.
If you are planning to be outdoors, be sure to stick with light, loose-fitting clothing and bring plenty of water. Limit outdoor time for pets, too. There is an elevated fire danger risk for Northeast Florida.
