Much-needed rain for the lawns will arrive this afternoon.

AFTERNOON FORECAST

Afternoon temperatures will peak into the upper 80s and low nineties with light winds from the north, than shifting to the south and southeast after sunset.

Rain chances are low for the early afternoon and then shift to a 30 to 50 percent chance for the late afternoon early evening.

Isolated storms will be focused in NE Florida first for the southern counties before shifting to inland counties. SE Georgia has only a 10 to 20 percent chance for rain.

Rain accumulation for NE FL will be near one-tenth of an inch while accumulation for SE GA will be near one-hundredth of an inch.

The National Hurricane Center has identified a disturbance in the Eastern Gulf of Mexico and offshore Southeast Florida. The low-pressure area is producing a large area of disorganized. It is unlikely to develop over the next 48 hours and has a 20 percent chance of developing in the next seven days.
