We’re continuing to track Tropical DEPRESSION Alberto

Alberto is here, and it arrived two days ahead of the average date we would see our first named storm (June 20th)

. (.)

Tropical Depression Alberto continues to pack a punch for parts of Texas and Mexico, bringing rain and coastal flooding to Texas, and possible mudslides to parts of Mexico.

Maximum sustained winds with this system are at 35 mph, and the system is moving W at 18 mph.

Now, onto system number 2 that will bring us some much needed rain.

This system holds a 40% potential chance for development, but regardless of development, this system is beginning to move into our area.

We’re seeing a number of factors- some pop-up showers have been and will continue to move onshore, with very breezy conditions, and a high rip current risk. The showers moved in this morning for some of you, and are still moving in- coupled with sunshine for many of you.

Today and tomorrow are the days to watch, as the showers encompass more of our area, and winds gusts continue to pick up.

We will monitor both systems, and let you know what you can expect in your area throughout the week.

Today at home, we can expect highs in the 80′s and 90′s and some morning and showers are going to pop up for a few of you.
