Southeast Georgia, Northeast Florida will experience widespread rain Saturday

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – The summer rainy pattern begins Saturday with a 60-80% chance of showers and afternoon thunderstorms in the forecast.

High temperatures and winds out of the south/southwest will help to ignite the much-needed rain. Highs in the low-to-mid 90s for most of the area. Evening temperatures will drop into the mid-70s.

Daily rain is forecast through the end of June as temperatures rise into the mid-to-upper 90s, feels like temps will be 100-105.

The heat, along with the sea breezes from both the Atlantic and the Gulf coasts, will provide the afternoon summer showers. There could be an accumulation of up to 7″ by next weekend.

Beach forecast: Moderate rip current risk, UV index high-very high (yes, even with cloud coverage).
