A front pushing south through Georgia this evening will help keep storms around late tonight. The heaviest rain will target areas along and west of the St. Johns River down into Clay and Putnam counties. Fewer showers are possible closer to the coast. Areas north of the Florida border will likely remain dry with the drier air behind the front.
High humidity will combine with mid to upper 90s Tuesday sending heat index values in the 108-110 range. Heat advisories may be issued once more for many parts of north Florida.
The front is expected to remain stalled across the southeast, leading to unsettled weather through Friday with heat in the mid-90s through the weekend.
