JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – It will be another day with heat in the 90s with ‘feels-like’ temperatures in the triple digits. The heat index will be 107 degrees in Jacksonville and 110 degrees in places like Fernandina Beach, Lake City and St. Simons, according to the National Weather Service.
A Heat Advisory is in effect until 7 p.m.
There’s no qualms about it, this heat is dangerous.
If you don’t take care of yourself properly, you could be a victim of a heat stroke, heat exhaustion, dehydration, or heat rash!
Stay hydrated, limit your time outdoors, and make sure you’re taking care of your pets by keeping walks short and walking them on grass. The pavement can be very hot on their paws.
Along with the heat, we will also see some showers and storms popping in throughout the afternoon and evening.
