No heat advisory today, but it will still be hot with afternoon showers

JACKSONVILLE, FL – It will be hot and stormy again but the rain timeline will be earlier in the afternoon on Thursday.

Storms track in from the western areas around 2 p.m. with rain pushing toward the beaches by early evening.

Heavy rain and storm storms are possible across Georgia with a narrower focus along the I-95 corridor between Nassau, Duval and St. Johns counties. Rain fades away after 8 p.m.

There is no Heat Advisory today and highs top out near 95 degrees around 3 p.m.

There’s a 60% chance of showers and thunderstorms this afternoon, especially across the eastern parts of the First Coast. These storms could move inland and bring heavy rain and gusty wind before fading out.

The rest of the week will be hot and humid, with daily afternoon storms. Above normal highs in the mid-90s with lows staying in the mid-70s.
