Soaking rain continues, puddles to small ponds

Slow-moving downpours and storms left some with puddles and others with ponds.  Flood Advisories will continue for Baker County through 10:15 p.m.  Light rain and showers will end late tonight.

Now:  Areas of rain and storms, some locally heavy, west of I-95.

Tonight:  Showers and storms will continue inland before weakening and fading around 10 to 11 p.m.

Tuesday:  The pattern continues, with scattered afternoon showers and thunderstorms, 50-70 percent.  A warm start to the day with lows in the 70s to low 80s.  Afternoon highs in the 90s inland upper 80s to low 90s along the beaches.  Wind S/SE 5-10 mph.

Looking ahead:  A hot week with daily rounds of soaking rainfall.

Tropics:  Hurricane Beryl is close to becoming a Category 5 and one other area in the Atlantic with chances of development, 20/40 percent in the next 2/7 days.
