Fireworks forecast looks good

Higher rain chances today are expected inland. Storms develop around Jax and shift west into the evening.

JACKSONVILLE, FL – Highs in the low 90s are expected today, with a 60% chance of rain, mainly affecting inland areas. Rain is most likely between 3-6 pm along the I-95 corridor before moving westward towards the Gulf tonight. Beaches should see little to no rain, except for possible showers in coastal Georgia.

On Independence Day, expect lower to mid 90s temperatures with light easterly winds pushing storms inland, away from the coast, in the afternoon. Storms will likely be long gone in time for evening fireworks. Temperatures will rise into the mid-90s by the end of the week and weekend.

In the tropics, Hurricane Beryl is moving through Jamaica and weakened slightly. It will continue to decrease to a low-end hurricane by the time it reaches the Yucatan on Friday. It is not expected to impact Florida.
