JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – A cold front to our north will bring more moisture to the area this weekend along with the Atlantic seabreeze and mid-day heat, inland afternoon showers and storms are inevitable; roughly 30% of us will see some rain Saturday.

High temperatures are expected to be in the mid-to-upper 90s, with heat index values in the 105-110 range, near heat advisory levels, which are posted to the west of US301 near the Interstate 75 corridor.

Showers and storms will fade by midnight, only to return on Sunday starting after 9 a.m. More widespread rain is expected during the afternoon on Sunday and into Monday.
