A lot to talk about today, and frankly throughout the entire week.

The 90s are in the forecast for Monday. Our high will be 95 degrees, with the record set at 101 degrees. Although breaking temperature records isn’t likely, it will feel like 110 degrees in some areas later today.

Triple-digit feels like temperatures move in quickly, and that prompts you to practice safety outside. Sunscreen, A/C, and frequent breaks will keep you safe from heat-related illnesses including heat stroke and dehydration.

Also, continuing to track Hurricane Beryl. Per the 8 a.m. Advisory, Beryl remains a CAT 1 Hurricane with northern movement at 12 mph and winds at 75 mph. Beryl made landfall near Matagorda, Texas as a CAT 1 Hurricane earlier this morning. It will continue to bring storm surges and heavy winds to the area along with intense rainfall.

Rain and storms move in throughout the early afternoon into the evening, so download our weather app so you can see when the rain arrives in your area. All of this activity is due to a weak front paired with an immense amount of gulf moisture. This will bring along showers and storms for N and Central Florida throughout the week.

Wear the sunscreen, and prep for plans inside for the afternoon.
