Heat Advisory in place throughout hot, humid afternoon

Monday Afternoon Heat Advisory

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Another hot, humid day with a Heat Advisory in effect today through early evening, scheduled to end at 6 p.m. The area highlighted is east of I-95 and along the coast where “feels like” temps could reach 110. Inland areas will “feels like” up to 107.

Be sure to stay hydrated, wear sunscreen and light, loose-fitting clothing. For those who can’t be out in the heat for too long, seek air-conditioning; this includes your pets.

Rain and stormy conditions along the sea breeze front will start near the I-75 corridor early afternoon before pushing towards the coast by later this evening, tapering off by 9 p.m. Gusty winds and heavy downpours with potential localized flooding at times will be a factor in the heavier cells that develop. Highs will be in the mid-to-upper 90s, lower 90s along the coast.
