Lighting and heavy downpours will occur in Southeast Georgia and Northeast Florida for the weekend.
If you are headed to the beaches or I-95, you may want to delay the commute because a line of isolated storms are moving over the St Johns River and bringing heavy downpours and strong winds. Flash Flooding is possible.

Putnam, Flagler and St Johns County 1 AM
Saturday, storms will initially develop in the western portion of the state, traveling east, before moving offshore. Isolated and scattered storms will begin to develop between 4 and 5 PM for our inland counties of Southeast Georgia and Northeast Florida. Then, the storms will continue east from 6 to 8 pm before moving offshore.
Sunday, storms will develop slightly earlier in the day in the early afternoon until 6 PM and then another round of storms will occur in Northeast Florida solely for southern counties from 8 PM to midnight.
Weekend mornings will begin with partly cloudy skies and warm temperatures in the 70s with no rain. Then in the afternoon temperatures will peak into the mid to upper 90s with mostly clear skies and light winds before storms begin.
