JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – The bulk of Sunday’s showers and storms will come along later in the afternoon along with the high heat.

Heavy downpours and gusty winds are likely with the stronger storms developing along the sea breeze convergence.

Heat indices are expected at/or around 107, staying under the Heat Advisory threshold. The storms will taper off later in the evening as they begin to move offshore. Highs are expected in the mid-90s, and high 80s along the coast.

Tonight: temperatures will drop into the mid-to-upper 70s

Work week: much of the same pattern with high heat, afternoon showers and storms
