Storms Fade Tonight, Rain Chances Drop Tomorrow

Storms coverage pattern change

Rain totals through Thursday will be heavier inland

Storms slowly fade out tonight targeting areas around I-75 to Highway 301. Heavier rain in Duval earlier is over for the evening.

Temperatures will be in the 80s tonight with some upper 70s by Tuesday morning.

Rain chances drop off a bit Tuesday to 40%. Rain skips past the beaches for the next several days but will develop earlier in the afternoon around I-95. After 3 pm storms begin shifting west of the St. Johns River with rain spreading inland through the evening.

This pattern comes with a shift in steering flow from the east this week serving inland locations as the prime areas for heavier rain.

Rain could flip back to the coast by the weekend. Tropics look quiet with no indications for any development through July.
