Rainy pattern still taking a breather

Storms confined toward the interior state

Drier air nudges into coastal areas suppressing rain. Inland areas stand the best areas for afternoon and evening storms.

JACKSONVILLE, Fla – Scattered storms will target areas well inland over interior north Florida. Rain will target the I-75 corridor through the evening. Drier and mostly clear conditions prevail across Duval and up and down the coastal counties.

The dip in rain chances we saw Tuesday to 40% will only rise slightly Wednesday to 50%. It will be mostly dry and sunny from the coast to the river with late afternoon storms developing inland and moving northward into Wednesday evening across Georgia.

Rain continues to miss the beaches for several days but we could see rain pick up by the weekend.
