JACKSONVILLE, Fl – It has been another quiet day rainwise for most but storms should increase through the end of the week.
Tonight the risk for heavy rain and stronger storms will target inland areas from Highway 301 to the Suwanee Valley and into Georgia. Showers and storms will dissipate as late as 10-11 pm over the interior.
Skies stay clear at the coast and turn clearer in the rainier spots after midnight as lows dip into the upper 70s by early morning.
The heat stays in the low to mid 90s through the end of the week putting us well into Jacksonville’s top 10 longest consecutive days of 90s in its history.
Rain Thursday will target most areas during the afternoon and evening with totals increasing over an inch.
The pattern turns wetter increasing to 80% rain chance Friday and into the weekend.
