The summer highs, humidity, and heat indices continue through the last weekend of July

Afternoon storms could damper your plans in Northeast Florida and Southeast Georgia

Weekend Highs

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – The story remains the same: temperatures in the 90s with “feels-like” temperatures 10 degrees warmer, and afternoon showers and thunderstorms that could disrupt your day. Saturday: we’ll see the stormy weather start to build later in the afternoon. Still, the results will be similar to what we’ve seen over the past few days, including heavy downpours causing localized flooding, especially in areas that have seen the bulk of the rain, such as Macclenny and Green Cove Springs.

Rain past three days

Sunday is shaping up to be a duplicate of Saturday with a reprieve in the amount of rain coming early next week, although the 90-degree weather looks to stick around for a while as we move into August.

Saturday hazards: heavy downpours, frequent lightning, gusty winds, localized flooding, high heat index
