Storms are winding down, questions continue in the Tropics

What is spinning in the Tropics?

. (.)

Update @ 9 pm: Thunderstorms are pushing through Nassau and Duval counties.  These will continue to weaken as they move south toward Clay and St. Johns county.  Brief, locally heavy rain with gusty wind and lightning will continue through around 9 pm before turning to light rain through 10 pm to midnight.

Thursday:  Partly cloudy skies with afternoon storms 30-60 percent.  Summer heat and humidity continue with morning lows in the 70s inland and along the beaches.  Afternoon highs will hit the 90s and will feel like 100-110 degrees.  Wind:  Southwest then becoming southeast at 5 - 15 mph.

Weekend:  The summer pattern continues.  Scattered showers with storms mainly after 2 pm.

Tropics: Keep up with the updates. At this time there are more questions than answers. The chances of development remain at 0/60 percent over the next 2/7 days. Mark’s tropical discussion: https://www.news4jax.com/weather/2024/07/31/lets-talk-tropics-and-of-course-your-local-forecast/
