Weekend looks a little better

. (.)

Update at 9 p.m. Showers end for the night

Tonight: Partly cloudy skies with patchy fog. Light to calm wind.

Weekend: The path for PTC4 has shifted west. Rain chances will continue this weekend, but the heavy tropical rain will have more of an impact late Sunday and Monday. This is based on the current track with more changes likely as the system comes together. Saturday will see a 50% chance of afternoon showers and storms with rain chances increasing late Sunday night to around 80%. Lows in the 70s, highs in the 90s. Wind SE 10-15 mph.

Tropics: PTC 4 will become Tropical Storm Debby. Rain is the biggest threat. Flooding due to tropical rain has shifted to late Sunday night through Monday. The GFS remains faster and stronger while the Euro is weaker and could linger over Northeast Florida longer. Rainfall amounts will average 1-4 inches with some areas receiving 4-7 inches with locally higher amounts possible. The current wind estimates will be 20-30 mph with stronger gusts. Changes will continue until the system exits Cuba. Keep up with the changes with our Weather Authority Hurricane App.
