They also reported no one was hurt and that downed trees and power lines were taken care of quickly.

More than a thousand people were without power in Nassau County Monday afternoon; however, as of 4:40 p.m. Monday, Florida Power and Light was reporting 630 customers were without power.

Another issue emergency management told News4JAX they’ve been dealing with is false rumors that the Thomas Shave bridge has been closed due to wind gusts. They reiterated that the bridge has remained open.

Damage reports can be submitted to Nassau County Emergency Management through an online form.

The form will be received by emergency management, as well as public works, roads and bridges, so crews can respond swiftly.

A state of emergency in Nassau County was declared Sunday.
