Morning and evening rain but the dayside turns dry

Rain returns this evening with heavier totals closer to the coast.

JACKSONVILLE, F – Morning rain will give way to dry air and partial sunshine by midday, with breezy west winds gusting to 25 mph and highs in the upper 80s. Coastal areas will see more rain this evening, with over half an inch expected along the I-95 corridor.

Thursday will be hot and steamy, with temperatures in the mid-90s and afternoon showers targeting southern areas. Unusually hot weather returns for the remainder of the work week, even along the coast. Widespread mid 90s are forecast and it continues into the weekend, along with classic summer thunderstorms expected.
