Rain and thunderstorms continue to develop in association with a tropical wave. Its currently located between Cabo Verde Islands and the Lesser Antilles. The system is moving westward to west-northwestward at 15 to 20 mph across the central tropical Atlantic.
However, multiples models show the system developing into a storm before shifting north, missing the peninsula.
A tropical depression is likely to form early in the upcoming week.
