Low accumulation is likely despite some heavy downpours

Temperatures will peak into the upper 80s and low 90s with the feels like temperatures in the triple digits. Winds will begin to shift from the east to the south. Partly clouds will remain into the evening.

No changes to the current Tropics

A disturbance in the form of an area of low pressure is developing in the tropics east of the Leeward Islands.

The disturbance is currently in the Central Tropical Atlantic moving west and northwest.

Models show a possible development moving into the eastern or western Gulf of Mexico during the first week of September. However, no clear pattern exists for when or where the disturbance will develop.

Below is the current potential area of development for the disturbance.
