Saturday will be in the 90s, with feels-like temperatures in the triple digits for some in our area.
Rain chances remain low for today, and Monday looks to be the rainiest day of Labor Day weekend, with a 60% chance for scattered showers and storms.
Labor Day will also be in the 90s. Make sure if you have a family BBQ planned, you make a plan in case a scattered shower or storm makes it’s way to your backyard.
As far as the tropics go, let’s talk!
The National Hurricane Center has their eye on three different areas of potential development, but there are no named storms as of yet.
A system in the central Atlantic continues to move westward. Right now, there is a 50% chance for development over the next seven days. The National Hurricane Center said this system has the potential to develop into a Tropical Depression by next week.
Further east, another disturbance has a 10% chance of development over the next 7 days. It’s in the very early stages right now, but has the potential to form if conditions remain favorable.
Lastly, in the Gulf near Texas and Louisiana, a system of low pressure is being monitored. Regardless of development, the story here is that this disturbance will bring rain to parts of Texas and Louisiana, so much that it could cause flash flooding.
