Locally Heavy Rain Will Bring More Flooding

8:00 pm Update:  Local flooding is occurring.  Flooded streets, yards and neighborhoods as an addition 1 - 3 inches of rain has fallen across NE FL and SE GA.

Locally heavy rainfall brings Flood Advisories and Flood Warnings.  Flooding concerns continue.  A Stalled Front Sends More Storms

Tonight:  A Flood Watch will continue for Duval County through early Saturday morning.  Rounds of locally heavy rain over saturated ground cover could lead to more flooding.  Flood Warnings are posted for Clay and Putnam counties.  A Flood Advisory has been posted for Duval and Clay counties as Flooding returns to San Marco neighborhoods.

Friday:  The heavy rainfall and flooding risk will continue.  Rounds of showers and thunderstorms will start in the morning along the stalled front across northeast Florida.  This will be a focal point for afternoon showers and thunderstorms which could produce widespread rainfall amounts of 1.5 - 3.00 inches of rain through early Sunday morning.  Higher amounts up to 5.00 inches will be possible for the southeast Georgia coast and coastal Nassau and Duval counties.  Morning lows in the 70s.  Afternoon highs in the 80s.  Wind NE 5-10 mph.

Tropics:  Watching FIVE areas with one potentially becoming Tropical in the coming days.

Looking ahead:  Flooding will be possible through the weekend.
