JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – A Flood Warning has been issued for Duval and Nassau counties until 3:45 p.m. as more rain moves in from the Atlantic Ocean adding to the already saturated soil, 2″ or more are possible.
A coastal Flood Advisory continues across coastal counties of Northeast Florida including Eastern Clay, Eastern Putnam, inland Flagler, inland St. Johns, and Duval 8 p.m. Friday.
At the same time, a Flood Watch remains a possibility for portions of Northeast Florida, including the following areas, Coastal Duval, Coastal Flagler, Coastal Nassau, Coastal St. Johns, Inland Flagler, Inland Nassau, Inland St. Johns, Southeast Georgia Coastal Camden, Coastal Glynn, Inland Camden and Inland Glynn. High tides this afternoon could increase urban flooding along the river banks and beaches.
Highs on Thursday will be in the mid-to-upper 80s for Northeast Florida, while Southeast Georgia will stay in the lower 80s under mostly cloudy skies. The ride home will be wet as showers and storms increase after lunchtime. Winds will be whipping in the double digits with gusts up to 30 mph.
