Overnight Showers, Early morning Fog

The Flood Watch has expired. The Coastal Flood Advisory has been extended through Sunday at 8 am.

Now: A few light showers continue.

Tonight: Showers possible overnight. Patchy to areas of dense fog late tonight, early Saturday.

Weekend: Coastal Flood Advisories through 8 am Sunday. It is going to look, feel and sound like a swamp. A Foggy start with the sound of cicadas and a frog chorus. Skies will become cloudy with increasing rain chances after noon. Morning lows in the 70s. Afternoon highs in the low to mid 80s. Rain chances, 50-60 percent. Wind: NE 5-15 mph. While the Flood Watch has expired, locally heavy rain will lead to flooding.

Tropics: Tropical Storm Gordon forms in the Atlantic. No local impacts. Off of the Southeast coast an area of potential development is up to a 40 percent chance over the next 7 days. No local impacts.

Looking ahead: The summer pattern continues next week with the usual showers and storms.
